MotoXDream Fantasy League Rules
Also, please check out our "About / How-to-Play" page for past prizes and more information into how to play the game.
1. MOTOXDREAM IS A GAME OF SKILL.
From all eligible entries received, the winners will be determined by the ''Team Manager'' who uses his or her knowledge of the given games, by hiring riders with the right relative strengths and weaknesses to accumulate the most points during the season, according to the scoring rules below. MotoXDream may not be used in any form of gambling.
2. MOTOXDREAM TERM
Entries are being accepted for 4 standard Fantasy Series including: Arenacross, Supercross, Motocross & F.I.M. World GP. MotoXDream often conducts several "Special" Fantasy series during the racing season. Information, such as pricing and schedule, regarding these "Special" series will be posted in the "News" area or directly on the "Main Page" of MotoXDream. Pricing for each of our 4 standard series can be found on the "Registration" page.
3. ENTRY
Entries will be accepted through the online entry and selection form. You must include your first and last name, complete mailing address, country, phone number, age and a valid e-mail address. By entering MotoXDream you grant the right to use and publish your name online and in any other media in connection with MotoXDream. You agree that you may receive e-mail regarding future MotoXDream events. After registering, ''Team Managers'' can participate in MotoXDream. Participants may join at any time throughout the season and participate in any number of weeks they choose.
4. RULES
Each week during a series, you have the opportunity to sign a "Team" of riders. At the conclusion of each weekend of racing, MotoXDream will automatically release or ''fire'' your riders. It is up to you to hire another team of riders before the following race. You must always choose completely new riders for each event. MotoXDream's unique database system restricts all "Team Managers" from re-hiring riders for consecutive events. The purpose of this is to avoid many teams having the favorite racers each week. This practice provides a level playing field for everyone, and makes our Team Managers more active throughout the season.
For instance, if you're picking riders for SX Round 3, you can go back and hire the riders you had in SX Round 1, but nobody you had in SX Round 2. Get it?
Remember, this is a game of skill, you must set a strategy for the overall season and also for each race to decide which riders will fare better at certain events. Certain riders ride better at different tracks, and in different conditions, so make sure you are thinking ahead when hiring your team. Like any ''Team Manager'', your goal is to get the maximum performance from your riders when they are at their best. Check the weather conditions of that weekend, if it looks like rain, you had better hire some mud specialists. If its going to be 110 degrees, its time to bring out the iron men.
IMPORTANT ! Always be sure that you click on the "Save Picks" button at the bottom right of you rider selection page ! If you select your team and go on without clicking this button, your team of riders will not be saved, and you could end up with ZERO points for that event.
5. SCORING RULES
MotoXDream uses the AMA scoring system. ''Team Managers'' will receive the AMA points value earned by their rider's top 20 finishing position. AMA Points are awarded as follows: 1st-25, 2nd-22, 3rd-20, 4th-18, 5th-16, 6th-15, 7th-14, 8th-13, 9th-12, 10th-11, 11th-10, 12th-9, 13th-8, 14th-7, 15th-6, 16th-5, 17th-4, 18th-3, 19th-2, and 20th-1. The number of points earned by a rider's finish is exactly equal to the number of points awarded to ''Team Managers'' who have that rider their team. Points are awarded for each round of the series you are playing, and added to the overall standings. Points will be awarded only to riders that finish in the top 20, not for heats / qualifiers.
Our ''Hot List'' is a way to tempt our ''Team Managers'' to hire riders they normally wouldn't, and to keep everyone from hiring the same riders week after week. If a rider is highlighted in Red on the rider list, this will indicate he is on the ''Hot List'' for that event. MotoXDream will choose any number riders for the ''Hot List'' for each event. ''Team Manager's'' may choose to hire 1 or more rider/s from the ''Hot List''. If a ''HOT'' rider finishes in the top 10 at this event, the "Team Manager" will receive double the rider's normal AMA points for that event (see below for specific rules for each type of racing format). Only if the rider finishes in the top 10 is that rider worth double. If they do not finish inside the top 10, you will receive your rider's actual AMA point value. MotoXDream follows a loosely structured guideline for establishing the ''Hot List''. The sturcture is setup to keep a fair and level playing field between ''Team Managers'', allow flexibility for MotoXDream Commissioners, and to make our Fantasy Series interesting and fun.
Fantasy Supercross Series Specifics : For each weekend of the Fantasy Supercross Series, you will hire four "PREMIRE" riders and four "LITES" riders. The riders you hire will earn your team points for the Main Event only. Qualifiers and practice sessions are not counted towards scoring.
Fantasy Arenacross Series Specifics : For each weekend of the Fantasy Arenacross Series, you will hire four "PREMIRE" riders and four "LITES" riders. The riders you have selected will be on your team for both Friday and Saturday nights main events. So for the Des Moines opener, if you hire Josh Demuth for your "LITES" and "PREMIRE" teams, you will receive his points for two "LITES" main events (Friday & Saturday) and two "PREMIRE" main events (Friday & Saturday). Again, your overall totals for the weekend will consist of two nights of racing. ''Hot List'' riders will have the potential to earn double points for each Main Event finish during the weekend.
Fantasy Motocross & Fantasy F.I.M. World Grand Prix Series Specifics: For each weekend of the Motocross or F.I.M. Series, you will hire four "PREMIRE / MX1" riders and four "LITES / MX2" riders. Unlike Arenacross or Supercross, Motocross & World Gp's are 2-Moto events. During a Motocross or F.I.M. World GP race, you will receive your riders' "per moto scores", instead of receiving points for their overall finish. Once again, this is based on the AMA scoring system. Example, Ricky Carmichael wins both motos of the Hangtown opener, you will receive 25 points for each 1st place moto. This would give a "Team Manager" a total of 50 points 25+25 for RC's two 1st place motos. ''Hot List'' riders will will have the potential to earn double points based on each moto finish and NOT their overall position.
6. WINNERS AND PRIZES
Only teams in registered into "Prize Divisions" are eligible for "Weekly", "Series" or "Grand" prizes. A weekly winner will be the ''Team Manager'' with the highest number of points earned during any select week in each individual "Prize Division" (ie, 4 "Prize Divisions", 4 weekly winners). Series winners will be determined by the "Team Manager" with the most points at series's end for each individual "Prize Division" (ie, 4 "Prize Divisions", 4 series winners). Some Racing Series will have specific rules to determine The Grand Prize Winner. Unless otherwise noted, the Grand Prize Winner will, at the series end, be the "Team Manager" who has the highest total points for all "Prize Divisions" added together (not including "Friends Division" points). Again, only teams in "Prize Divisions" are eligible. For Series details, prizes and prize packages, please select "Join a Series" from the left side menu and click the appropriate series for information.
Tie Breakers: Should a tie exist between two or more ''Team Managers'' elegible for prizes, the winner will be the team that has the highest weekly score in the following event, in that particular "Prize Division" where the tie is to be broken. Exception: In the case of a Final Round tie, Final Round tie's will be awarded to the "Team Manager" that had the highest weekly score from the previous event, in that particualr "Prize Division" where that tie is to be broken. These rules apply to "Team Managers" eligible for "Weekly" or "Series" prizes only. Should a tie exist between two or more ''Team Managers'' eligible for "Grand Prizes", the winner will be the team that has the highest weekly/final round score of all "Prize Division" teams in the final round. If a tie persists, the winner will be the "Team Manager" with the highest total "Prize Division" score for each previous week until a winner is determined.
Prize winners will be posted online at MotoXDream.com. Winners will also be notified through email within seven days of the event. By accepting prizes, the winners grant permission to MotoXDream to use their names for publicity and promotional purposes. All prizes will be sent via UPS or U.S. Mail.
IMPORTANT NOTE Regarding Shipping & Handling: MotoXDream.com is not responsible for Shipping Charges on prizes, or prize packages, shipped outside the continental US. MotoXDream will not be responsible for shipping of "GRAND PRIZE". Grand Prize winner is responsible for any Shipping, Taxes or Licensing involved with winning the Grand Prize. MXD can assist with shipping arrangements for ALL prizes. Local pick-up is available.
If you skip a week you will not be eligible for weekly prizes.
